The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) Jail Division serves a critical role in public safety, ensuring that all adults in correctional settings are afforded proper care and secure custody within safe facilities during the adjudication process. We aim to offer every person support and the resources needed for a successful reentry into the community upon release. Using data driven evaluation and best practices we look to exceed industry standards. It is a priority of the WCSO Jail Division to provide equitable opportunities for our Adults In Custody to meet their nutritional needs and requirements with consideration of differing religious and dietary needs.The WCSO Jail Division is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified vendors who can provide an efficient, collaborative, and innovative food program for the various correctional facilities in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon. The vendor will be required to deliver high quality, healthy, well-planned meals to the adults in custody (AIC) and the on-duty corrections staff. This includes all food service related tasks including procurement, preparation, serving, clearing, and cleaning.The meals will be designed to meet the guidelines as prescribed by the American Correctional Association. The meals must meet specific dietary requirements based on the individuals' medical conditions, and religious needs.The service provided in the jail will follow all WCSO policies and comply with the Oregon Jail Standards.
