Description

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is soliciting a single firm to provide financial consulting services for the Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG).The Finance Department of BVCOG performs all accounting and financial functions for BVCOG, the Brazos Valley Community Action Programs (BVCAP) and Brazos 2020 Vision, Inc. The contract resulting from this RFP solicitation will result in a single contract between the awarded firm and BVCOG. It is BVCOG's desire to implement changes recommended by the financial consultant that will improve the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of the accounting department. The financial consulting services include but are not limited to the following:General Accounting and Advisory AssistanceImplementation of Software/Technology ImprovementsPreparation of Annual Financial StatementsBudget Preparation and Amendment AssistanceCapital Asset Records and Accounting AssistanceInternal Control Policies and Procedures AssistanceCost Allocation Plan AssistanceLaws and Regulations Compliance AssistanceInvestigation of Allegations or ConcernsAssistance with Subrecipient Monitoring Planning and PerformanceBVCOG is publishing a second Request for Proposals for Professional Auditing Services concurrent with this RFP. Vendors may respond to both RFPs, but each RFP shall be awarded to a different vendor. A single vendor cannot be awarded both RFPs.
