The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is seeking a community partner to help develop the Engage, Empower, Implement Funding Program. The Engage, Empower, Implement (EEI) program is a new program that will fund applicants engagement in underserved communities in order to understand their needs and challenges to then create projects and programs that serve them. The community partner will be the liaison to understand how communities need to be engaged in this process and assist SACOG in creating the program framework, guidelines, resources, and additional tools needed for program implementation. To do this, SACOG is seeking a partner that can leverage existing relationships with community organizations across the six-county SACOG region to provide insights on program development that reflect the perspectives of organizations working in Black, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latinx, and low-income communities. The EEI Funding Program is intended to benefit these communities and the voices of these communities should be front and center in shaping the program. The selected community partner and any of its proposed subcontractors will be ineligible to receive grant funding from or related to future EEI Funding Program projects that SACOG develops through consultation with the community partner. The community partner is expected to be a community-based organization, non-profit, or similar entity.
