Endazhi-Nitaawiging Charter School Community Schoolyard Construction 2025-2026 RFP 1 Endazhi-Nitaawiging Charter School Community Schoolyard Phase 3 Construction RFP 09-23-2025 Overview: Endazhi-Nitaawiging Charter School (School), in partnership with Trust for Public Land (TPL), is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors for nature-based improvements at Endazhi-Nitaawiging Charter School (25065 Highway 1 W, Red Lake, MN 56671). Project location maps and site descriptions included as Exhibit A. This project is part of a larger initiative to transform the schoolyard into a Community Schoolyard or an outdoor school space reimagined to address health, equity, and climate issues. The construction documents are included in Exhibit B. Phase 1 (forested nature and sand play area) and Phase 2 (forested outdoor classroom) were completed in summer 2025. Phase 3 includes gardens, hoophouse, landscaping, signage, tree planting, and trails. Phase 3 is the scope of this RFP and currently in the process of developing 50% construction documents for this phase of work. These documents will be advanced in parallel with bidding and construction, with input from the selected contractor to ensure constructability and cost alignment. In the interim, the contractor may utilize the existing construction documents, which outline the subsequent project phase but are not yet at the detailed stage for phase 3, to inform project bidding. Proposals should provide an itemized estimate for all phases and bid alternates using the bid forms included in Exhibit C.
