The City of Santa Cruz seeks new waste and recycling receptacles for its downtown area.In 2022 The City completed the development of Downtown Site Furnishing Standards in order to reduce visual clutter, improve coordination across City departments, and produce a more thoughtful and cohesive design for downtown. In its Fiscal Year 2023 budget, the City allocated funds for the Downtown Recovery – Phase I-IV project to begin implementation of the standards. New waste and recycling receptacles were identified as high priority items.
