Memo # Page 1 of 1 INVITATION TO BID Cape Girardeau Police Department Towing Services The Cape Girardeau Police Department is accepting sealed bids from qualified towing companies to provide towing, recovery, storage, and related services for vehicles as requested by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. The bidding contract will go into effect September 30, 2026. The selected provider shall be responsible for providing prompt, professional, and reliable towing services twentyfour hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. Services may include, but are not limited to, vehicle towing, accident recovery, impound towing, abandoned vehicle removal, evidence vehicle transport, and secure vehicle storage. Bidders must demonstrate the ability to provide adequate equipment, trained personnel, proper licensing, insurance coverage, and secure storage facilities. Bidders must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. Sealed Quotes shall be submitted to: Cape Girardeau Police Department Attention: Brian Vassalli, Lieutenant 2530 Maria Louise Lane Cape Girardeau, Missouri 63701 Bids must be received no later than September 15, 2026 by 5:00p.m. Bids received after the stated deadline may not be considered. Each bid should include, at a minimum: • • • • • • • • • Company name, address, and contact information Description of towing and recovery capabilities List of available equipment and vehicles Proof of insurance and required licenses Proposed fee schedule for towing, storage, administrative fees, and related services Description of storage facility security measures Average response time within the City of Cape Girardeau References from current or previous government or law enforcement contracts, if applicable Any additional terms or conditions proposed by the bidder The Cape Girardeau Police Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, request additional information, and select the bid that is determined to be in the best interest of the City of Cape Girardeau and the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
