Lorimier St. Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 REQUEST FOR BID BID OF MoDOT Vendor Number (if required)___________________________________ Bidder Name________________________________________________________ Bidder Address______________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________ FOR CONSTRUCTING OR IMPROVING Pedestrian Walkway Cape Rock Drive from Kingshighway to Brookwood Drive December 2023 INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids for the Pedestrian Walkway project, will be received at: City of Cape Girardeau City Hall, 44 N. Lorimier, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701, ATTN: Sarah Young until 4/21/22026 at10:00 AM local time. All bids shall be submitted in the form of hard copy attached. This project, TAP-1501(021), is in required combination with TAP-1501(022). Bids will be combined. The proposed work includes grading and sidewalk construction along Cape Rock Drive. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud on 4/21/2026 at 10:00 AM local time in the Port Conference Room, 2nd floor at City Hall. A certified or cashier's check or bid bond executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each Proposal. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to the City of Cape Girardeau Project Manager, Sarah Young, by 12:00 Noon, prevailing local time, on 4/17/2026. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on 4/14/2026 10:00 AM local time, in the Port Conference Room, 2nd floor City Hall 44 N. Lorimier Street, Cape Girardeau, Missouri 63701. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids with MoDOT concurrence, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by Owner. Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time or changes in Work and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder.
