Memo # Page 1 of 2 INVITATION TO BID Cape Girardeau Police Department Heavy-Duty Towing / Commercial Vehicle Towing Services The Cape Girardeau Police Department is accepting sealed bids from qualified heavy-duty towing companies to provide commercial vehicle towing, recovery, transport, storage, and related services as requested by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. The bidding contract will go into effect September 30, 2026. The selected provider shall be responsible for providing prompt, professional, and reliable heavy-duty towing and recovery services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. Services may include, but are not limited to, towing and recovery of tractor-trailers, buses, box trucks, dump trucks, refuse vehicles, large commercial trucks, trailers, and other heavy vehicles; accident and rollover recovery; disabled vehicle removal; evidence or impound transport; load-shift or cargo recovery support when required; and secure storage of commercial vehicles and trailers. Bidders must demonstrate the ability to provide adequate heavy-duty towing and recovery equipment, properly trained and licensed personnel, sufficient vehicle and recovery capacity, required insurance coverage, and secure storage capable of accommodating commercial vehicles when needed. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
