ISSUE At approximately 10:00AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Public Works Utilities Supervisor received a call of water coming through the wall at the County Sheriff’s Office located at the County Public Safety Complex at 35 Camino Justicia in Santa Fe. Upon arrival the crew confirmed that due to the sub-freezing temperatures over the past several days the water line in the wall had broken from the freeze. The water was shut off to the lines for repairs. Due to the saturation of the walls and carpet, the Public Works Facility Manager requested a declaration of emergency to assist with the repairs of the line, walls, carpet and to dehumidify the area to prevent the growth of mold. DETERMINATION: To prevent the spread of mold in the facility, the Procurement Manager instructed the Facilities Manager to contact ServiceMaster Fire & Water Restoration immediately to address and repair water line break. Pursuant to 13-1-127 Emergency Procurements, it is the determination of the Santa Fe County Procurement Manager that there existed a threat to the public health, welfare, safety and property that required the procurement of services, construction or tangible items under emergency procurement in order to address and eliminate the immediate emergency condition as described above, pursuant to NMSA 1978, 13-1-127. 102 Grant Avenue · P.O.
