Pereyra Jr., Utilities Infrastructure Manager Travis Soderquist, Public Works Utilities Division Director RE: Declaration of Emergency to Procure the Necessary Repairs to a Water Service Line Leak Located at 8 Las Lomas Dr., Boys and Girls Club in Santa Fe County, New Mexico ISSUE On Friday, July 24, 2026 at approximately 12:20pm I (Rubel Gallegos) was called out to 8 Las Lomas Dr. in Santa Fe to a water service leak. I arrived at approximately 3:30pm and discovered a water leak from the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Fe at 8 Las Lomas Dr. Water was draining and collecting on the adjacent property at 10 Las Lomas Dr. I contacted the Procurement Manager to request a declaration of emergency to contact a contractor to excavate and repair the leak. Once approval was received, I contracted Blueline Construction, Inc.. Blueline arrived at approximately 5:00pm to begin excavation and repairs. A temporary repair was completed at 9:00pm on Friday, July 24, 2026. Blueline return on Monday, July 27, 2026 to make the permanent repairs to the service line. Full repairs and services were on line again by 2:30pm. DETERMINATION: The loss of water and the fact that the adjoining property was becoming flooded by the leak, it is the determination of the County Procurement Manager to declare this emergency procurement for the repairs as there exists a threat to public health, welfare and safety, pursuant to 13-1-127 Emergency Procurements. 102 Grant Avenue · P.O.
