TORRINGTON BOARD OF EDUCATION REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR SNOW REMOVAL AND ICE CONTROL SERVICES The Torrington Board of Education (the “ BOE ”) is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to provide district-wide snow removal and ice control services for the Torrington Public Schools under a three (3) year contract. Sealed bids will be received by the BOE at the office of the BOE’s Director of Finance in the Torrington Administration Building, 50 Major Besse Drive, Fourth Floor, Torrington, CT 06790, until October 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. , at which time bids received will be opened publicly and read aloud. A mandatory pre-bid meeting for potential bidders will be conducted on October 6, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. , at the Torrington Administration Building, 50 Major Besse Drive, Fourth Floor, Torrington, CT 06790. The Request for Bids (“ RFB ”) and other bidding documents may be obtained at the following URL: https://www.torrington.org/departments/departments/business-services/bids All instructions for bidding are included in the RFB. Each bidder is responsible for verifying whether any addenda to the RFB are issued. The BOE reserves the right to: amend or withdraw the RFB for any reason; to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part; to waive any informalities or non-material deficiencies or irregularities in any bid; and to make such award (or make no award) of a contract or multiple contracts in connection with the RFB, all as determined by the BOE in its discretion, to be in the best interests of the BOE and the Torrington Public Schools.
