Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Clerk of North Platte, Nebraska, until 11:00 a.m., C.D.T., on November 10, 2026, for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and plant, and all else necessary to properly construct the DEWEY STREET WATER, consisting of boring approximately 1600 lf of 12” PVC water main, 11 water services, and appurtenances. At which hour or as soon as possible thereafter, the City Clerk of North Platte, Nebraska, will proceed to open in a public letting and consider the bids received for the construction of the aforesaid improvements. Bids shall be an aggregate on all work to be performed, broken down to accurately reflect unit prices for all estimated quantities. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of the City Clerk and the City Engineer. Bids will be received only upon the proposal forms furnished by the City Engineer. A copy of the Addendum 10/19/26 must be included with each bid. The project shall be completed by June 1, 2027. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond, or cashier's check on a bank whose deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the amount of 5% of the Contractor's bid and must be payable without condition to the treasurer of the City of North Platte, Nebraska, as evidence of good faith of the bidder and as agreed liquidated damages to the City of North Platte, Nebraska. The bidder, whose proposal is accepted by the Mayor and City Council, fails to enter into contract within ten (10) days from the Notice of Award and furnish acceptable bond to complete the work and pay for all labor and materials used, the amount of the certified check, bid bond, or cashier's check shall be forfeited to the City. Each Contractor bidding upon the work described in this Notice, at the same time as the filing of the bid, shall file with the Mayor and City Council of the City of North Platte, Nebraska, a statement that he is complying with and will continue to comply with fair labor standards as defined in Section 73-104 R.S. Nebraska, 1943, in the pursuit of his business and in the execution of the contract on which he is bidding. There shall be written into the contract for the construction of the work referred to herein a provision that in the execution of such contract fair labor standards as so defined shall be maintained. The City of North Platte, Nebraska, reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids.
