The Atlantic County Utilities Authority is seeking qualifications from firms interested in developing a solid waste conversion facility at its Environmental Park in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Qualified firms may be invited to submit proposals for a privately financed project involving the design, permitting, construction, operation, and maintenance of a facility capable of processing municipal solid waste and other eligible waste streams into energy or reusable resources. The project may process up to 1,000 tons per day under a service agreement and site license of up to 25 years. Traditional mass-burn incineration and technologies relying on land application will not be considered.
