The City is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for intersection analysis and civil engineering design services for an area near Haaff Elementary School located in the Belmont neighborhood of Pueblo. The City has been awarded a Safe Routes to School grant which includes a consultant to redesign the intersection of Jerry Murphy Road and Chinook Lane to help alleviate some traffic congestion, improve the curb ramps at the intersection, and improve safety of the area. The proposed improvements must be ADA accessible.The scope of services includes preliminary design (schematic) phase, final design phase, preparation of contract documents and bidding phase, and construction services phase as outlined in the SCOPE OF SERVICE & PROJECT REQUIREMENTS.The services requested shall be funded by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) pursuant to the State of Colorado Intergovernmental Agreement dated February 15, 2023 between the State of Colorado (“State”) and City/Owner (“Grant Agreement”). A copy of the Grant Agreement is included as ATTACHMENT C . All design services must comply with the Grant Agreement and submittals shall follow the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) format. Additionally, the project design must meet the requirements of CDOT Project SHO M086-093 (24462).Due to the funding source, only the Proposals shall be evaluated. All pricing will be kept private until the evaluation of Proposal is complete.
