Demolition And Hazardous Material Abatement - 942 Main Street

The Town of Manchester is requesting bids for the demolition and hazardous material abatement of 942-974 Main Street (single story building of approximately 20,000sf with a full basement and seven (7) retail spaces located on the first floor) in Manchester, Connecticut. The project will be divided into 2 phases: Phase 1; Mobilization, Demolition, and removal of the first floor, including but not limited to the roof top equipment, roof, walls, partitions, and interior contents within first floor, with floor surface to remain.  Work includes the removal of all hazmat, asbestos, and pcb items within this area. Site shall be left fully demobilized except for the perimeter construction fence. Phase 1; Mobilization, and demolition of entire building…All demolition debris to be pushed into basement within perimeter foundation walls, including but not limited to roof top equipment, roof, walls, partitions, and interior contents.  All demolished material shall remain in place until removal during phase 2.  Concrete floor slab is to be broken up.  Perimeter concrete foundation walls (including concrete, masonry, and steel) to be removed to 4” (inches) +/- below grade.  No concrete, masonry or steel shall be protruding above grade.  Phase 1 work also includes the removal of all hazmat, asbestos, and pcb items within this area.
