The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) is seeking to procure transportation data from a qualified vendor. The data will be utilized to prepare a Regional Travel Patterns Study for Santa Barbara County. As the Metropolitan Planning Organization and Regional Transportation Planning Agency (MPO/RTPA) for Santa Barbara County, SBCAG facilitates coordinated transportation planning efforts amongst its local partners, the state, and the federal government and provides a central forum for collaboration and information sharing. SBCAG’s mission statement is to provide collaborative leadership, planning, projects, and services that serve regional and local needs to improve mobility and promote sustainable communities in Santa Barbara County.The study represents an opportunity to look back and identify travel patterns that have emerged in Santa Barbara County and the regional transportation system over the past several years. SBCAG is seeking a data package that is comprehensive, user-friendly, and able to identify trends for multiple modes (auto, bicycle, transit, and freight). The data should be output in a manner that can be tied into ongoing projects and programs at SBCAG including, but not limited to; metrics that are tracked with SBCAG’s long-range Regional Transportation Plan-Sustainable Communities Strategy and the SBCAG regional travel demand model. The data package should also be accessible to multiple users and stakeholders from our local jurisdiction partners within the project budget.
