30 January 2026 Bethel School District Danebo Elementary School – Addition and Improvements Addendum 03 - Narrative Summary GENERAL ITEMS 1. First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure: ORS 279C.370, stipulates that any subcontractor with a bid value that is the greater of 5% of the total project bid value or $15,000, is required to included on the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure form. In addition, all subcontractor bids $350,000 or greater must also be listed. A. If the total bid is less than $7,000,000, all subcontractors with bids equal to or greater than 5% of the total bid must be included on Exhibit H – First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure. B. If the total bid is $7,000,000 or greater, all subcontractors with bids $350,000 or greater much be included on Exhibit H – First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure QUESTIONS 1. Will the customer forego AWI Certification, listed in (06 4100) (1.04 Submittals)(B)(3), if manufacturer provides its own proprietary labeling system and guarantee will meet or exceed AWI standards? Response: Yes, this is acceptable. 2. Section 06 4100 Architectural Wood Casework, Paragraph 2.08, Subsection D refers the reader to Section 12 3600 Countertops and Surfacing. That section is not included in the specs. Will there be solid surfacing included in this job? If so, where can we find the specs for that? Response: The reference to Section 12 3600 is now deleted, as there is no solid surfacing in the project. 3. Please provide the approximate maximum loading for the gym footing in kips/ft (dead plus live). The plans show an allowable bearing pressure of 6000 psf, but that would be up to 36 kips/ft for a 6’ wide footing, which is high and would make for a high Geopier cost. Response: See adjusted structural drawing issued via ADD 03. 4. Is a hazardous materials report available? Response: Yes, issued in ADD 02. 5. Who is responsible for abatement if there are hazardous materials in the existing building? Response: The Owner is responsible for abatement of hazardous materials. 6. What is the intended project schedule? Response: This is described in Section 01 1000 Summary, 1.02 WORK SEQUENCE. 7. Addendum #1 noted spec section 00 2113 – Instruction to bidders was re-issued and attached. This was not included in the addendum #1 attachments. Please provide. Response: Section 00 2113 is AIA Document A701-2018, which was included in Addendum 01. 8.
