Covington County Annual Bid – FUEL & GASOLINE Notice to Vendors & Specification: Covington County is currently seeking bids for diesel fuel and gasoline. In order to be considered, proposals must be received at the location and time below: Covington County Commission 260 Hillcrest Drive P.O. Box 188 Andalusia, Alabama 36420 Phone: 334-428-2610 BEFORE: 8:30 AM ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2026 Bids will be opened as soon thereafter as practicable. Award will be made at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Covington County Commission. The contract period shall be from award at the next regular meeting of the Covington County Commission October 2026 through September 30, 2027. If requested by Covington County and agreed upon by the vendor, this contract may be renewed for successive terms, up to three years. Any successive contract must have written approval of both the County and the vendor no later than 30 days prior to the expiration of the previous contract. Covington County may at any time cancel the contract by submitting a 30-day notice in writing to the vendor. The basis for all bids shall be the Daily Fuel Reports prepared by the State of Alabama Department of Finance Division of Purchasing. The specification of how the Daily Fuel Report is prepared is detailed in the State Purchasing Contract T104 Petroleum Products. Your unit bid price shall be a “MARGIN OVER OPIS” and shall include delivery fees. Applicable taxes/fees will be additional charges above bid price. Bid price will include delivery to the Covington County Road Department, 201 Hillcrest Drive, Andalusia, AL 36420. within two (2) business days of your receipt of the order. The County will place orders periodically as needed. Purchases from this contract will be paid at your UNIT BID PRICE per Gallon + the FUEL REPORT price per Gallon (Based on Delivery Date) + All Applicable Taxes/Fees, as per Federal, State, and Local Laws. Signature on bid must be in ink. Bids made out in pencil will NOT be accepted. Covington County reserves the right to accept or reject all Bids or any portion thereof.
