INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed lump sum bids for the project identified as TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY NEW COURTHOUSE BUILDING in Brevard, North Carolina will be received from pre-qualified bidders, opened and read aloud by the Architect. DATE: TIME: LOCATION: September 23, 2026 2:00 P.M., local time Transylvania County Multi-Purpose Chambers in the Administration Building 101 South Broad Street Brevard, NC 28712 The name of the project is: TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY NEW COURTHOUSE BUILDING Address: Project site is located on Public Safety Way, Brevard, NC 28712. The Owner is: Transylvania County 101 South Broad Street Brevard, NC 28712 Owner’s Representative: Ms. Jaime Laughter County Manager 101 South Broad Street Brevard, NC 28712 (828) 884-3100 The Architect is: Sizemore Group, LLC 9 SW Pack Square, Suite 302 Asheville, NC 28801 Project consists of a new two-story plus full-basement, 68,460 SF steel-framed, masonry-veneer building to house courtrooms and support spaces for court and county operations. Project site is on County owned 14.4-acre parcel east of the Transylvania County Public Safety Facility bounded by Public Safety Way to the south and Maintenance HL to the west. Surrounding site work is included in this project. Online Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain online access after August 26, 2026, by contacting the Architect. Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine after August 26, 2026, at the office of the Architect. Bids will be binding for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date bids are opened. Bidders must be prequalified by Owner. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond and a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. All bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages.
