This project is for the removal of targeted fire fuel and invasive vegetation species on up to 1,843.7 acres of land in the Rancho Murieta and Sloughhouse areas as well as the Deer Creek Hills Preserve. This area is primarily oak woodlands and is home to an array of wildlife. Fire fuel removal may include manual and/or approved mechanical work both on and off the ground, material transportation, and limited dangerous tree removal. The invasive vegetation species will require two consecutive seasons of herbicide treatments. Mitigation measures are included in this project and access to an Arborist and Pest Control Advisor are required. This project will continue through February 2026.
