CITY OF MIDDLETOWNINVITATION TO BID Sealed bids, will be accepted by the City of Middletown for BID #2026-017 Construction of New 911 Building Central Communications and will be received until Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 11:00 am. Bid Proposals shall be addressed to the Supervisor of Purchases, City of Middletown, Room 112, Municipal Building, Middletown, Connecticut. Late bids will not be accepted BID #2026-017Construction of New 911 BuildingCentral Communications The City of Middletown is planning to construct a new 6,800 Central Communications Center located at 499 Mile Lane. The Building will be a single story, slab on grade, steel framed construction with a flat roof and masonry veneer exterior, as described within the Drawings and Specifications. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (5%) of the total bid amount shall be required with all bids submitted. Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract sum shall be required from the selected bidder following award. A Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (5%) of the contract sum shall be required after completion of work and prior to final payment. A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 10:00 am at the site, 499 Mile Lane, Middletown, CT 06457. Interested bidders that do not follow these recommendations will be asked to leave. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting in person or by representative. Plans and Specifications will not be available for pick up; they will be available and can only be obtained from our website at www.middletownct.gov. If you download a set of plans/specifications and would like to be listed on our “Plan holder’s List” which is posted to our website daily, we ask that you email and include your contact information to . Bids will be publicly opened via WebEx and a meeting invite will be posted to our website for anyone who wishes to join. All bids shall be submitted in duplicate on the designated forms using the Bid Return Label provided as designated in the Information for Bidders by the date set and time. Bid proposals must be executed in accordance with and are subject to the instructions contained within the Information for Bidders.
