NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland are soliciting bids for the project: CONSTITUTION PARK POOL SLIDE DEMO CITY PROJECT NO. 2026-05A-RECR Completed bids shall be submitted to the City of Cumberland’s online solicitation website, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 9/30/2026. All Bids will be virtually released at 2:00 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made. Project description: Demolition of the existing single-flume water slide structure and installation of a concrete slab at the Constitution Park Pool. This project, the 2026-05A-RECR Constitution Park Pool Slide Demo Project, is being put out to bid simultaneously with the Slide Replacement Project, 2026-05B-RECR. In the event that different bidders win each project, the bidder shall coordinate with the City to determine a construction timeline, which must be completed prior to April 1, 2027. If Alternative 2 is chosen for the slide replacement, then the City may work with the Contractor and choose to delay the demo project to occur after April 1, 2027. A "Mandatory PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on 9/16/2026 at the Craft House, Constitution Park. 770 Park View Ave, Cumberland, MD. A Proposal Guaranty (Bond or Certified Check) in the amount of at least 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, for all construction contracts in excess of $100,000, at the time the contract is executed. The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
