Comprehensive Medical Services

Description

It is the intent of these specifications, terms, and conditions to describe qualified vendors who are interested and able to provide and coordinate comprehensive medical care services and associated systems of care for the justice-involved population at a correctional facility managed by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO).  The selected vendor will provide medical services for the justice-involved population housed at the Santa Rita Jail (SRJ) facility located in Dublin, CA.  The selected vendor must work cooperatively with ACSO, local hospitals, and the Alameda County Behavioral Health Department (ACBHD), which is responsible for providing mental health care to the justice-involved population.  The provision of justice-involved health services by the Contractor must include comprehensive medical care including administering and prescribing medicine, women’s health, dental care, coordination with mental health care providers, clinic time, California-Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) Reentry coordination, and other services as more specifically identified in this RFP. The County intends to award a three-year contract (with an option to renew for two years) to the bidder selected as the most qualified, responsible bidder whose response conforms to the RFP and meets the County’s requirements.
