Description

The Stockton Unified School District is seeking proposals from qualified transportation providers to provide comprehensive charter transportation services utilizing school pupil activity buses (SPABs). The selected Contractor(s) shall provide vehicles, drivers and all necessary personnel and resources to safely transport students and other District-designated individuals between locations as specified by the district.Services will be provided on an as-needed basis and must accommodate varying trip types, group sizes, and scheduling requirements. The Contractor shall be responsible for supplying and maintaining a fleet of properly equipped and compliant vehicles in sufficient quantity and capacity to meet the district's operational needs. All services must be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing student transportation.The district intends to establish a contract or contracts with qualified firm(s) capable of delivering reliable safe, and responsive transportation services in support of instructional programs, extracurricular activities, and other district-sponsored events.
