Community Prevention Strategies to Improve Social and Emotional Wellness Across the Lifespan

Washington County Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking to award up to $1,000,000 in community grants to support community-led projects that strengthen social and emotional wellness (SEW) across the lifespan using racial equity and trauma-informed approaches. Projects that primarily serve one or more of the following disproportionately impacted communities will be prioritized:Black/African AmericanIndigenousHispanic/LatinxAsianPeople of ColorImmigrant and refugeeLGBTQ+Those living at the intersection of those identitiesThis is a one-time funding opportunity that is made possible by funds through Measure 108 (Tobacco Prevention), American Rescue Plan Act, Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative, Washington County Alcohol and Drug Prevention, Washington County Behavioral Health, and local Beer and Wine tax revenue funds. Organizations may apply up to $100,000, or $150,000 if their project focuses on more than one priority population (children and youth, adults, or older adults). Additionally, organizations can also apply for up to $100,000 to implement evidence-based parenting education. The funding period will begin June 1st, 2023, and end June 30th, 2025.
