The City of Tucson Housing and Community Development Department (the “City”) invites sealed proposals from qualified organization(s) to serve as Community Engagement partner for the 29th Street Thrive Zone project, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. The City of Tucson plans to adapt the Thrive in the 05 approach to comprehensive neighborhood planning and resident-driven investment to the 29th Street corridor bordered by Alvernon Way to the West, 22nd St to the North, Craycroft Rd to the East, and Golf Links Rd to the South.The City intends to select a community engagement consultant (or team) based on its experience and ability to carry out the requested services:Work with and develop joint leadership composed of neighborhood leaders, city staff, and local stakeholders like nonprofits and educational institutions to guide the processFacilitate extensive community visioning and engagement work through non-traditional means such as community events, neighborhood ambassadors, asset and opportunity/challenge mapping, walking tours, cafecitos, etc.Collect data and use market studies to inform improvement projects and the transformation planIncorporate a comprehensive focus on the neighborhood to include: the built environment, housing, services, job opportunities, education, economic development, and community safetyDevelop cross-sector partnerships and collaborations to align and leverage resourcesFacilitate a community driven process to identify and implement action projects
