Description

The City of Beaverton (City) is an Oregon municipal corporation located seven (7) miles west of Portland in the Tualatin River Valley. The City is Oregon’s sixth most populous City and the second most populous incorporated City in Washington County, with 19.6 square miles and just over 100,000 residents. The City operates 13 water service pressure zones, which vary from 410 to 794 hydraulic grade line (HGL) and are defined by a combination of factors, including ground topography, designated water storage overflow elevations, and/or pressure reducing valves (PRVs) serving the zone. The City manages water service for approximately 90,000 residents, which includes residents in areas formerly served by Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD). Maintaining adequate water storage and distribution for these zones is critical to the livelihood of the City’s residents and businesses.
