It is the Town of Queen Creek’s intent to enter into a preconstruction services and construction services contract with a qualified construction manager/general contractor to construct a new headquarters and secure parking structure for the Town of Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD). The location of the existing property site is located just south of the Town of Queen Creek Municipal Services Building (MSB) at 22358 S. Ellsworth Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142, between the MSB and Crewse Lane, replacing the existing Pocket Park for Pups and Town of Queen Creek Recycling Center. The overall development site spans approximately 3.6 acres and is surrounded by active business operations. Existing amenities such as the Pocket Park for Pups and the Queen Creek Recycling Center are in the process of being relocated and will be completely vacated by the end of calendar year 2025.Due to space constraints, and in an effort to minimize municipal infrastructure, the project design will consist of one main structure that incorporates both the QCPD Headquarters operations and QCPD secure parking. The approximate combined square footage of the entire structure is scheduled to be approximately no more than ~270,000 square feet; 65,000 to 70,000 square feet for the actual headquarters portion of the structure and 180,000 to 200,000 square feet for the secure parking structure portion. Other site amenities include modifications to at least one retention basin, construction of new surface parking, landscape improvements, minor street modifications and site demolition of existing amenities, including one restroom and storage structure currently occupying the site.
