Class 2 Landfill Partial Closure

Description

The County of Greenville is seeking proposals for the Partial Closure Construction of the Class 2 Unit 2 Landfill at the Twin Chimneys Landfill, subject to the conditions and all provisions set forth herein and in the Drawings and Specifications (attachment C & D). A portion of the Class 2 Unit 2 Landfill has achieved final grades. The closure consists of constructing:A stormwater pond Subgrade preparationStructural fill of a perimeter bermStone access roadErosion control measures (silt fence, erosion control blankets, seeding). The project is approximately 301,000 cy excavation and 120,000 cy of structural fill.  The soil borrow area is within the Unit 2 Landfill footprint and has been cleared.The County desires the project to reach substantial completion within 210 calendar days.
