STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The City of West Sacramento (City) desires to supplement its existing staff with professionals who are authorized by the Business and Professions Code to act in the capacity of City Surveyor. The City currently has no permanent staff person who is authorized to perform the duties of City Surveyor. In consideration of the fluctuating workload, the City has elected to outsource for this position. This Request for Proposals will lead to the permanent appointment of a City Surveyor for the City of West Sacramento. Individuals, as well as professional firms, are encouraged to apply.  Each qualified Proposer is to submit a proposal in conformity with the terms of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") by the deadline below ("Proposal"). The Proposer selected by the City pursuant to the terms of this RFP and the City's contracting procedures, if any is selected, is referred to herein as "Contractor." SYNONYMOUS TERMSAs used throughout this bid and its attachments, the following terms are synonymous: a.
