City of Vista Civic Center Security Services

Description

The City of Vista is requesting written bids from qualified Bidders for the furnishing of Security Services for Vista Civic Center in accordance with the requirements and specifications of this Request for Bids (RFB). This will be a two-year contract with three 1-year extensions for a possible total of 5 years. The City is seeking a qualified vendor to provide the following non-professional services: The selected contractor shall be a licensed Private Patrol Operation with the State of California. The contractor will provide at least one unarmed, uniformed security guard from 3pm to 11pm, 7 days a week, who are registered with the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Service. The security guard will be assigned to the City of Vista Civic Center exterior property as a highly visible public presence, perform ambulatory patrol within the property lines of the Vista Civic Center, respond to suspicious activity or safety-related incidents. Security Guards must demonstrate situational awareness, knowledge of progressive security procedures, techniques of detecting and assisting in the prevention and de-escalation of disruptive or prohibited conduct. The chosen contractor must be experienced in providing traditional security services as well as acting in a liaison capacity by occasionally providing information and assistance to City residents and City staff.
