The Benicia Police Department and City of Benicia invites qualified public safety surveillance system vendors to submit proposals to provide a new surveillance system 11 locations in total including following eight (8) City facilities and community locations: City Hall, Police Department, Benicia Community Center / Clock Tower, Library, and other community locations. There are three (3) new sites that the City wishes to install cameras supported by the surveillance system as well. A list of all sites with their location, address, and number of cameras needed at each location is listed in Section 4, Scope of Work. There will be a total of 55 cameras located at City facilities, 19 cameras located throughout the community, and 5 new cameras at 3 new community locations, for a total of 79 cameras. Electrical undergrounding for the three new locations is necessary. Software and equipment required include Camera system software application(s), server storage, and cameras that function via power over Ethernet, which will be monitored in the Police Communications Center. The vendor will be responsible for site assessment, system design, equipment procurement, installation, and staff training. This proposal shall include separate bids for each City facility and community location and shall include local server storage or cloud storage options for up to a year. The City is looking for modern camera technology that includes enhanced zoom features; pan, tilt, and multi directional views. The City will also need software to view and monitor the footage and cloud based storage. The software must integrate with the media wall at dispatch center, including the ability to download footage to computers or mobile storage devices.
