The City of Aurora is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced security service providers to provide professional security services for the City of Aurora’s Temporary Warming Center, located at 712 S. River St. Aurora, Illinois, 60505.The selected contractor will be responsible for providing a safe, secure, respectful, and welcoming environment for warming center residents, staff, volunteers, visitors, vendors, and the surrounding community.The selected contractor will be expected to provide trained security personnel who understand the unique needs and circumstances of individuals experiencing homelessness and who can effectively manage security concerns through professionalism, communication, de-escalation, conflict resolution, and appropriate intervention.The City of Aurora intends to select the proposal that provides the best overall value, considering qualifications, experience, staffing plan, service approach, cost, references, and demonstrated ability to provide effective security services in a warming center environment.
