The City of Santa Monica’s Human Services Division is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a consultant to conduct an updated Childcare Nexus Fee Study in compliance with AB 1600 and AB 602. The study will demonstrate whether there is a continued “nexus” between residential and/or workplace development and an increased demand for local childcare slots, which is the basis for the City’s childcare linkage fee.
