Evidence shows that children and families thrive when they are safe, healthy, and connected to strong communities. The Sacramento County Department of Child, Family, and Adult Services (DCFAS) intends to build on this evidence by providing preventative services to children and families that strengthen and promote their overall well-being.The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify a provider to offer social development activities for children and supportive social services to children and families in or near the Gardenland, Northgate, and Noralto neighborhoods. The children’s program will offer an on-site, trauma-informed, therapeutic program that fosters resiliency in children ages 5-12 who have been abused or neglected or who are at risk of abuse or neglect. The supportive social services program will include, but may not be limited to, home visits, school site visits, attendance at Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings, assistance with food insecurity, and provision of transportation to/from school and proposer service location. The proposed budget for this program is $202,500 per fiscal year with no proposed end date for the program.
