Child Care Expansion Grant Program Design and Administration

Description

The City of South San Francisco is seeking proposals from qualified firms or organizations to assist with the design, launch, and administration of a pilot Child Care Expansion Grant Program. The program will use available Childcare Impact Fee resources to support capital improvements that create, expand, or activate licensed child care spaces in South San Francisco and will serve both licensed child care centers and family child care homes.The selected consultant will work with the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and other City staff on program design and guidelines, provider outreach, applicant technical assistance, application review and scoring, grant administration, project monitoring, and outcome tracking and reporting. The City seeks a consultant with demonstrated experience in child care facilities, capital grant programs, provider technical assistance, and public-sector grant administration.
