Tucson Water has over two hundred (200) active wells in its Potable Water Distribution System. Several of these wells inject 12.5% sodium hypochlorite into the well water entering the distribution system for disinfection. Tucson Water must maintain a 0.8 to 1.2 mg/L of free chlorine residual throughout the distribution system. This contract is for parts and equipment to supply disinfectant to the potable water system. This contract’s parts and equipment will primarily be chemical-resistant plastics used to deliver disinfectants into the water supply for disinfection. Tucson Water is looking to contract more than one vendor for each group of parts. The City of Tucson anticipates making multiple awards by group.
