Capital Program Support Services for the Capital Improvement Plan

Description

SFO (Airport) is undergoing significant investment in its assets, and the Design and Construction division will be managing and implementing the majority of the projects in the $11B Capital Improvement Plan (“CIP”). The CIP requires expertise in program controls, consistency in reporting project information across programs, oversight of the program-wide master schedule and budget, and risk management, in addition to providing other specialized services. The CIP includes projects varying in complexity, size, and budget, which will be delivered using various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and Construction Manager/General Contractor. The CIP Support Services Contractor (“Contractor”) will provide overall management and oversight of the CIP controls. Under this Contract, the Airport seeks to hire a Contractor with proven ability and expertise to work well in a highly collaborative environment to assist with the management of the CIP.  The scope of services for this Contract may also include programming coordination, project controls, cost estimating services, and auditing services, as well as other services to support cost management, schedule management, documentation management, reporting, and systems implementation of the CIP. The Contractor will work with Airport staff, Project Management Support Services (PMSS) teams, construction management consultants, and design and construction teams to deliver the projects.
