INVITATION FOR BID Separate sealed bids of the Butte-Silver Bow 2026 Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Project will be received by the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow at the office of the Clerk & Recorder at the Courthouse Building, 155 West Granite St, Room #208, Butte, MT 59701 until 5:00 p.m. local time on August 26, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud in the council chambers at 7:30 p.m. Sanitary sewer service was initiated in uptown Butte in the late 1890s to serve the expanding population of the area. Many sanitary sewer mains and laterals have exceeded their design life, and deterioration of the system is prevalent: pipe wall thicknesses have diminished, and several holes and PVC patches are found throughout the system. Butte-Silver Bow (BSB) Metro Sewer Division has repaired numerous lines using new PVC pipe, but many mains and laterals are still in need of repair. During CCTV inspection it was discovered that multiple sections of sanitary sewer require rehabilitation. Each determined location has documentation of poor condition, sewer backups and/or increased maintenance frequency. The Butte-Silver Bow (BSB) Public Works Department is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids to furnish and install Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) in compliance with the attached bid specification. Materials shall be furnished and installed of the sizes and classes designated in this Request for Bid (RFB) document, as confirmed by the CONTRACTOR, and as shown in the attached Construction Plans. The bid specification includes twenty-eight (28) distinct pipe segments consisting of approximately 9,060 linear feet that warrant CIPP lining.
