The City of Lake Forest seeks a Television Director to operate video and audio equipment and sound equipment necessary to cablecast and stream Lake Forest City Council Meetings.City Council meetings are streamed via OBS software, recorded on the City's Tightrope server and a backup reordering on the Blackmagic digital recorder. Candidates should have expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Blackmagic ATEM, Tightrope Cablecast and OBS Streaming software. In addition the candidate should have experience with the Yamaha QL1 audio board, Blackmagic ATEM Switcher, and Panasonic Camera Remote system.City Council meetings are cablecast live on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Candidates are required to arrive no later than 5 p.m., which is at least one hour prior to the closed-session portion of the meeting to test functionality of the system and use Adobe Photoshop for creating keyable graphics for each meeting. Typical meeting times are 2.5 hours. The City provides all software and hardware for cablecasting the meetings.Additionally, City Council Chambers also convert to a 200-seat Performing Arts Center for rent. Renters are offered the option of using the City's Broadcast Services contractor to use City equipment to record performances. In that scenario, the Broadcast Services contractor would bill the City an hourly rate for those services and the fees would be added to the renters' charges for use of the facility.
