Washington County's Maternal, Child and Family Program is seeking proposals from community organizations interested in leading the development of a community based multi-sectoral Breastfeeding Coalition as defined in Continuity of Care in Breastfeeding Support A Blueprint for Communities. This is a community-driven effort aimed at enhancing and increasing the seamless delivery of culturally affirming maternal and infant health education, supports and services for breastfeeding families. This coalition will engage in a model of distributed leadership with the overarching goal of removing structural barriers to chest/breastfeeding within systems, organizations, and the community.
