Transition to standard curb at all curb returns, except where sidewalk ramps are provided, drainage and at all cul- de- sacs with structures. B. Concrete shall conform to State Standard 90- 1. 10, 5- sack portland cement concrete unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer. Concrete curing shall be by pigmented curing compound method using white pigment type unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer. C. 6" minimum Class II aggregate base to 95% relative compaction or match base thickness requirement for new or existing road section, whichever is greatest. D. Face of curb shall be marked with an " S" ( sewer), " W" ( water), or" G" ( gas) directly over all laterals and/ or services unless otherwise marked to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. The mark shall be stamped into the concrete and shall not be smaller then 3" x 2" nor less than 3/ 16" deep. E. Expansion joints shall be constructed at all corners, storm drain inlets, beginning of curves, end of curves, driveways, and at 30' intervals with 1/ 4" expansion material and 1/ 2" 0 x 18" smooth dowels, greased or sleeved at one end. Weakened plane joints ( WPJ) shall be placed at 10' intervals and shall be 1- 1/ 2" deep. To the extent practicable joints shall match those on existing structures adjacent to the new curb. Curb construction adjacent to existing asphalt paving shall include sawcutting, removal and replacement. G. Utility lids and concrete collars shall not be located within the top of curb.
