Grover Heights Campus Repaint Summer 2025 ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Scope of Work: ● Exterior repaint of 11 permanent buildings (Office, Relocateables, and Classrooms buildings ). Including doors, jambs, trim,gutters, downspouts, and etc. ● Minimum of three coat systems. Primer Coat and two finish coats. Spot priming required for loose/ peeling paint, patched/ repaired, and rusted areas. ● Paint colors will be custom matched colors: ○ Body: Sawyers Fence ○ Trim, Doors, Jambs and etc: Roman Blue Notes ● Contract start date 6-9-2025. ● All labor to be paid at Prevailing Wage Rates. ● Contractor must provide a lockable storage unit to house all materials and supplies. District will not provide storage. Coordinate with the District for approved locations. ● Contractor will provide restrooms for onsite workers. ● Contractor will provide a submittal of all colors for approval. ● Contractor is responsible for pressure washing all areas that are to be painted. ● A mildewcide cleaner will be applied to the surface before pressure washing. ● Remove all mold, mildew, loose/ flaky rust, dirt, chalk and other surface contamination ● All loose/ peeling paint shall be removed through means of scraping to a soundly adhered painted surface. ● The areas on wood where the loose/ peeling paint has been scraped shall receive two coats of approved high build bonding primer (“spot primed”) before being primed and painted. ● Wood areas with holes or dry rot will be repaired using Abatron WoodEpox ● The areas on stucco and masonry where the loose/ peeling paint has been scraped shall receive one coat of approved high build bonding primer (“spot primed”) and floated with a textured patch to minimize their appearance. ● All paint chips shall be collected and disposed of in accordance with local ordinances. ● Glossy surfaces such as gutters, downspouts, doors, jambs, and window frames shall be deglossed and sanded before painting. ● The interior and exterior of all doors and jambs will be painted. No Split Coats unless approved by the District. ● All doors that have chalkboard paint shall be sanded to a smooth surface, primed, then painted. ● All metal doors with holes and dings shall be repaired then painted. ● Mullions on double door sets will be painted ● All bare wood shall be primed before painting. ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● All bare metal shall be primed for painting.
