January 7, 2025 To All Contractors Bidding On the: Lucia Mar Unified School District Student Service Storage Building Addendum No. One is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents pertaining to the above project and shall be binding upon each entity submitting bids. It shall be the responsibility of each Contractor to notify the sub contractors, materialmen and suppliers concerning the contents of this Addendum as they specifically apply them. ITEM NO. 1: Per District instruction at the Pre-Bid meeting, the contractor shall NOT be required to provide builders risk insurance for this project. ITEM NO. 2: The contractor shall saw-cut and remove the existing asphalt 12” in front of the new conc. apron and patch it back. See attached detail. ITEM NO. 3: As a matter of clarification, the Contractor shall furnish and install the 3/4” dia. anchor bolts. Once the bolts are set, the Contractor shall give the District 24-hour notice for inspection by the Metal Bldg. Contractor to confirm proper placement prior to pouring the concrete. The Metal Building contractor shall also coordinate the slab depressions at the roll up doors. The Contractor shall include these in the bid. ITEM NO. 4: Sheet SP-1.0, The existing in grade electrical box shall be raised to the new finish grade of the concrete apron. ITEM NO. 5: Sheet A1.0, sheet note #03. As a matter of clarification, the re-bar spacing shall be at 12” on center as noted on the Structural sheet S-2.1 ITEM NO. 6: RFI’s and Responses: 1 - Detail #2 on sheet S-3.1 calls out #4 U-Bars with hooks @ 8" O.C. Are these U-Bars just at the pad locations? Or are they continuous at the perimeter? Response: The #4 U-Bars @ 8" O.C. are only required at the interface at the pad footings. They are not required at the continuous perimeter grade beams. 2. Also on detail #2 on sheet S-3.1 it calls out (4) Horizontal #4 ties. Are these #4 ties just at the #4 U-Bars?
