In the Fabrication Shop, are the Crane Runway Beams and Rails supplied by the building manufacturer, or do we need to include them in our structural steel scope? a. The crane beams and cap channels are provided by the PEMB manufacturer, and the rails / clips / crane are provided by the GC. 2. Intumescent Coating: The notes mention a 1-Hour Intumescent Coating for firerated walls. Can you confirm which specific steel members need this finish? a. All steel members that support the second-floor elevated slab will require the intumescent coating. 3. Wind Speed: Since this is in Mobile, please confirm the required Ultimate Wind Speed (MPH) for the building design. a. Wind design shall be per V=159mph (3 sec gust), Cat II, Exp D. 4. Please confirm if all Wide Flange beams should be priced as Grade 50 (A992). a. All wide flange beams shall be per ASTM 992, Gr 50. 5. Contractor request for a resinous floor substitution (SHERWIN-WILLIAMS -RESUFLOR DECO QUARTZ DB23). a. NOT an approved equal to the specified epoxy resinous flooring. 6. Also, I am having trouble locating the geotechnical report. The spec notes it is in appendix A but all I saw was an ACM report. Please advise. a. See Addenda 2 – Item 1 as well as Item 1 response to contractor questions. 7. To clarify, the plans only call for boxes to install card readers, and not for an access control system to be installed, is that correct? a. Plans call for pull boxes only. Supply and install of Access Control System is per the owner. See E102-2, E201-2, E304-2 (Fab Shop) and E303-2 (Assembly Bldg) for additional details. 8.
