Take careful note of the addendum so that proper allowance may be made. 1. Questions verbatim: Q. I would like to request that the F. E. Olds models be considered as well. In particular, item 38 bass clarinet model 1430LP is no longer available and I believe our Olds NO541 model is a comparable substitute. F. E. Olds does not sell directly to schools, but works with music dealers that would submit a bid proposal. A. The District shall only consider substitution requests from the bidder submitting the bid. Please refer to “Information for Bidders”, Section 19 for further information. Q. How would you like the alternate model, where applicable, to be presented? Separate sheet reference the line? A. If you are bidding with an “Or Equal” item, please use the Revised Bid Form Pricing Sheet to provide the model, model number, and any details as required by the bid guidelines. Q. There are some line notated as "ONLY" but are discontinued; may we bid on those lines? A. Yes, bidders can bid on any line item. Please refer to the attached Revised Bid Form Pricing Sheet for updated listings. Q. For future bids, what would be the best route to be included as a brand specifically asked for on bids? A. The items listed on this bid have been determined to meet the District’s standards and specifications. If a bidder wishes to propose an alternative product, they may submit a sample for review and evaluation to determine whether it meets District requirements. Q. Due to the fragile nature of band and orchestra instruments, does the District require the awarded vendor to unbox, inspect, and verify the condition and proper operation of each instrument, perform any necessary adjustments, and deliver the instruments to the District in ready-to-play condition? A. All equipment or supplies, unless otherwise specified, must be delivered ready for use and shall be subject to inspection and acceptance or rejection by the District at time of delivery.
