ADDENDUM TO BID NO. 2420 GARDEN GROVE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Purchasing Department 10331 Stanford Avenue Garden Grove, CA 92840 (714) 663-6340 Date: June 6, 2025 Project: Bid No 2420– Fencing Project# 12 From: Lorraine McDaniel, Purchasing Addendum Number: 1 You are hereby notified of the following changes, additions or deletions to the Documents for the above titled Project. Take careful note of the addendum so that proper allowance may be made. 1. Questions verbatim: Q. At Anthony Elementary please provide details on how the trash enclosure is to be designed. Will it be designed with top/mid/ and bottom rail or will it have top rail and bottom tension wire? A. Please provide an 8 ft. black vinyl chain link enclosure, with double black vinyl chain link gates in the front for access to replace in kind with the existing enclosure. Q. At Anthony Elementary the existing trash enclosure has privacy slats. Please verify if we are also to install privacy slats on the new trash enclosure. A. Yes, new slats to be installed on new enclosure. Q. At Anthony Elementary will the new slide gate that is to be built be galvanized or black vinyl? Also please provide details on how the gate is to be built and if we are to use existing gate posts. Will it be on a v-track or will it have double gate wheel carriers? A. New slide gate is to be black vinyl chain link using double gate wheel carriers. All posts are to be new. Q. If we are to use existing hardware for the panic gates will the district provide new hardware in case they are defective? A. Use existing hardware per bid documents. If defective inform district. Q. Please verify if temporary fencing will be required while the new fence is being built. A. Temporary fencing is required while work on new fence is taking place. Site must be fully secure while work is being performed. Q. Due to the fact that this job is to be built during the school year will we need to provide any traffic control? A. School must be able to function without any disruption to the site and site activities. Q. For each school please specify exactly where the kinder yard is located and identify the fence line where we are to install Hurricane Privacy Slats. A. Please see Attachments A-C below. Q. Will the gates located at the kinder area also need to have privacy slats? A. Gates in kinder yard are to receive the Hurricane Mfg. Privacy slats. Chain link gates to receive privacy slats. Q.
