ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF MERCEDES BID NO. 2025-003 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS NEAR EMERGENCY SHELTER General Notice CITY OF MERCEDES (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Drainage Improvements Near the Emergency Shelter Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by Ms. Joselynn Castillo, 78570, until City Secretary at City of Mercedes located at 400 S. Ohio Ave., Mercedes, TX​ August 15, 2025, at 3 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following work: The proposed project will consist of a storm drainage system with approximately 1,449 LF of storm sewer lines, 7,600 CY of drainage ditch excavation, and 68,840 CY of detention area excavation. Obtaining the Bidding Documents The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: SWG Engineering, LLC 611 Bill Summers Intl Blvd. Weslaco, Texas 78596 (956) 968-2194 Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Prospective bidders shall obtain an official set of bidding documents and be registered with the issuing office to be permitted to bid on the project. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on USB will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service.
