Description

Beverage and Snack Vending Request for Proposal Questions and Answers 10/25/2024 1. Q: Who is CSC’s current dining service provider? A: Fresh Ideas Management LLC, a subsidiary of Chartwells Higher Education, which is a division of Compass Group USA Inc (parent company) 2. Q: Can you please provide us with some details on CSC’s recycling program? A: Keep Chadron Beautiful picks up cardboard recycling from CSC’s campus but other than that there isn’t a formal recycling program at CSC due to the available recycling services. There are some very outdated and faded recycling receptacles which need to be replaced. Q: What are CSC’s expectations/wants for a recycling program in the future? A: CSC’s administration would like assistance in developing a recycling program for plastic beverage bottles to start with. This is especially important at the concession stand locations, the residence halls, the NPAC, and through the middle of campus. CSC needs recycling receptacles, bins, etc. and a partnership for collecting the recycling from campus as well as delivering the recycling to a recycling center. The Contract can assist with identifying potential partners for this program. 3. Q: Is CSC looking for co-branded paper cups in addition to plastic tumblers? A: Yes Q: What size tumbler does CSC require? A: 12 oz in the dining hall. 4. Regarding the 10% exemption • Q: What products are considered in this 10%? • A: CSC would like the option to bring in specific products student request. These products are typically not tied to Pepsi or Coke. Currently, students are requesting Red Bull and Vitality. • Q: Where across campus are these products used? • A: We don’t currently have an exemption, but we like to have these products in the Eagle Market, Eagle To-Go, and the dining hall. These products will not be sold at the concession stands without approval to do so. • Q: How is the 10% determined? • A: This would be determined based on the amount of product on the shelves, in the coolers, and/or available in the area. Items not purchased through the Beverage and Snack Vending Contractor cannot exceed 10% of the total product on the shelves, in the coolers, or available in the area. This can be spot checked by the Contract when bringing delivering product or anytime the Contractor wishes to check during regular business hours. 5. The athletics portion of the RFP makes note of a college branded bottled water.
