The Canter Creek Park project will involve the development of a 25- acre undeveloped land tract located within the new community of Canter Creek, located at 10222 Dressage Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Within the 25-acres of undeveloped land, also owned by Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), 11-acres will remain as Woodland Preservation Area to enhance the recreational experience.The major proposed improvements include construction of two separate playgrounds based on different age groups, basketball half court play areas, grass areas for unstructured play along with a walking trail. In addition to the park areas this project will include ancillary infrastructure improvements to the parking lot, sidewalks, landscaping while keeping in mind erosion and sediment control. Road frontage improvements including the entrance and signage will also be part of this park construction project.
